How does electrical muscle stimulation work?
During traditional strength training, the brain sends bioelectrical impulses which cause certain muscles to contract. However, not all muscles have a well-developed connection to the brain, and these muscles are not as easily activated, therefore they will not develop so well. This way we can never train with full force, even if we want to.
Electrical muscle stimulation however, with low-strength electrical impulses, directly stimulates our deep muscles, thus deceiving our body’s natural reactions. The 12 pairs of electrodes built in the special training suit help to transmit the impulses, thus training almost 100% of our musculature.
EMS is a perfectly safe way of working out, applied for a long time for medical and rehabilitation purposes too.
How does electrical muscle stimulation work?
What does an EMS trainer do?
Trainers control the sessions with merely a tablet in their hands. This can take place in a studio, gym, at a client’s home or even outdoors. The trainers’ work is facilitated by three pre-defined (strength, cardio and massage) and one manual training programs, plus a video trainer mode. Trainers need to instruct clients throughout the sessions, as well as adjust the impulse strength on the different muscle groups.
